Did you know that we are also an IUD Clinic?
With the new AB Government budget cuts, drivers medicals for seniors will NO LONGER be covered as they had been in the past.
Starting APRIL 1st, seniors will have to pay for their drivers medicals out of pocket. If you are 74.5 years or older you need a driver's medical. The next driver's Medical is at 80 years old. After the age of 80, you will need a driver's medical every 2 years. Drivers medical expenses are currently covered if you are at least 74.5 years old. If your Driver's Medical is due within the next 6 months then please book in to have this completed BEFORE March 31st if you would like to avoid the fee. Please remember to tell the Health Minister and local MLA if you are unhappy with this change to seniors drivers medicals. Wednesday March 25th will be a dedicated clinic day for drivers medicals. Call Care in the Creek to book your appointment at 403-949-2457. Other dates may also be available for appointments. Contact your government representatives if you would like to comment on their newly proposed legislation. What can you do? Please stand with your doctors and let the government know this is not acceptable. *Contact our MLA Miranda Rosin, phone 403 949 5090 or 403 609 4509 email [email protected] *Contact Health Minister Tyler Shandro, phone 780 427 3665, email [email protected] *Contact Premier Jason Kenney, phone 780 427 2251, email [email protected].
