​​​The physicians and staff at Care in the Creek Medical Centre (CITC) strive to create a medical home for their patients. This means they aim to provide comprehensive medical care including acute care, chronic care and preventative services to all people, in all stages of life as well as end of life care. Physician will respond to each patient's unique needs and preferences, and where possible, in coordination and cooperation with other local health care providers.

Insured Services

Our practice is publicly funded by the provincial government, and you do not pay for the costs of all of your routine medical services. Insured services refers to the services you receive for your basic, everyday health needs. It is your first point of contact within the health system and includes the initial care, treatment and follow-up of various health conditions, as well as referrals to the rest of the health system.

Uninsured Services

There are certain services that may not be not covered by provincial health insurance. These are called uninsured services.  CITC follows guidelines from the Alberta Medical Association regarding fees for these items. Listed below are some of the services that are not covered by the provincial plan which you may be charged for. In addition a complete price list is posted in the waiting room and each of the examination rooms in the clinic.
  • Notes (physio, massage, chiropractic, orthotics, compression stockings)
  • Sickness/absence notes 
  • Driver’s forms for medical reasons 
  • Photocopying of medical records
  • Completion of all forms
  • Travel advice, innoculations and prescriptions for such
