Did you know that we are also an IUD Clinic?
Everyone knows someone or a family coping with dementia. Dementia is the loss of mental function, such as memory and judgement, which affects daily activities. Alzheimer’s is only one type of dementia. In 2016 it was estimated that over half a million Canadians suffer from dementia with 64% having Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately Alzheimer’s is irreversible and medical science does not yet have a cure. In addition, this disease places a huge burden on the health system and the people caring for someone with Alzheimer’s living at home. The Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary has a number of workshops and resources to help persons suffering from Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Come and talk with your physician at Care in the Creek Medical Centre in Bragg Creek about these resources and other help that is available in the community.
